Woodland Mosaic Greeting Card
This is a hand painted watercolor greeting card inspired by the Woodland Mosaic in the Denver Botanic Gardens. The card is a double-sided print with a gate fold. The back of the card provides additional information about the history of the unique greenhouse. The art is a patina green and vibrant pink watercolor style showcasing flora and fauna found near by the solarium structure in the garden.

1. Sketches
The concept was a gatefold card and as you open the card if feels like you are entering the greenhouse.

2. Composition
Because of the amount of green it was important to place the plants strategically and introduce splashes of color to keep visual interest.

Because of the complexity of the greenhouse and flowers, both were painted separately and then layered together digitally.

The unusual gate fold creates some unique printing challenges but adds to the character of the card.
